On the way to a mid-term I got caught walking to school in what seemed like a flash flood. This afternoon the rain began to come down with such force that it was travelling parallel to the ground. Although I was wearing a rain jacket, I found myself unprepared for what happened. It only took about 10 seconds for to become drenched. I tried to hurry but I could not walk any faster. Fear started creeping in as I thought about began the electronics I was carrying in my backpack and my new iPhone 5S in my soaked pants pocket. When I finally arrived at school after the intense downpour, I looked like I went swimming in my clothes. As I entered the Rosenkrantz building, all I could hear was the loud squeal of the bottom of my soaked shoes every time I took another step towards my classroom. As I removed my electronics from of my bag, my curiosity was quelled when I became overjoyed that nothing in my bag was destroyed, even though my bag is not designed to withstand the water. As soon as I can afford to, I will buy a new backpack that can withstand a flash flood.
Hours past and I finally started to dry off when my buddy Brad L kindly consented to give me a lift home. As we headed towards the car, we turned and said, you don’t see that everyday. While Brad still had his HiDef Panasonic video camera, we decided it would make great B roll footage for almost anything that happened on campus. He broke out the his gear and began recording. It was a pleasant end to a treacherous day.
